In 2024, I began presenting Sherry’s Shorts, an online short story spoken-word show on Highland Hospital Radio featuring short stories with a connection to the Highlands—either by their setting or because the writer has a link to the area—along with music and chat.

The show airs ‘live’ every Friday at noon and every Tuesday at 3pm UK time on Highland Hospital Radio. You can listen by visiting hhr.scot or ask your smart speaker to play Highland Hospital Radio. Listeners in the UK can download the app from the HHR homepage.

You can listen to any episode of Sherry’s Shorts anytime by visiting the Sherry’s Shorts show page where all episodes are listed along with full details of the shows’ contributors. To submit a story for consideration on a future show, visit the show page or email me: sherry [at] hhr [dot] scot.

The website and app have the full schedule of all the great shows this volunteer-run, hospital radio station offers, so do go and check out the site and download the app.

The latest episode of Sherry’s Shorts is below. Enjoy!
